The story behind The Cavalry Chess Academy
My chess journey began when I learned the game from my father as a child before receiving professional training in India. Over the years, I have competed in numerous tournaments, studied the game extensively, and developed a passion not only for playing chess, but also for teaching it. What inspired me most was seeing students gain confidence as they learned new ideas and improved through consistent practice. That experience led me to create The Cavalry Chess Academy with one simple goal: to make a positive impact on every student’s chess journey through patient, personalized instruction.

Why I Started The Cavalry Chess Academy
I founded The Cavalry Chess Academy because I wanted to make a meaningful impact on students through chess. While every coach teaches the game, I believe every student learns differently. Some students learn best through explanation. Others improve through guided practice and experience. Rather than expecting every student to adapt to one teaching style, I believe coaching should adapt to the individual. My goal is to understand how each student learns best and build lessons around their strengths, challenges, and goals. Chess is more than memorizing moves. It teaches patience, discipline, problem-solving, confidence, and thoughtful decision-making—and those lessons extend far beyond the chessboard.
